"The O. Winston Link of Bluegrass Music"
Chris L. Rector was born in Bristol Tennesse,
the Birthplace of Country Music. His roots run deep from Carter Family Country all the way to Lewis Family Country.
Chris is the videographer and photographer for
the Carter Family Fold and for videographer for the ACMA's Pickiní Porch. He does promotional work the Carter Family Fold, the ACMA, and Song of the Mountains. Chris has also been published in Bluegrass Unlimited and Bluegrass Now. He has also worked with Hunter Berry, Beth Stevens and Edge, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Paul Williams and the Victory Trio and more.
In 2011, Chris was commissioned by the ACMA to produce the documentary Echoes of the Blue Ridge. The documentary looks at the history of the Blue Ridge Region's role in Old Time, Bluegrass and the birth of Country Music.
